About

Gramercy Review is an independent online magazine of exceptional and thought-provoking poetry and prose in both fiction and nonfiction, including works in translation. With book club beginnings in downtown New York City, a group of friends passionate about the transformative power of literature established Gramercy Review in 2024, with an editorial calendar to publish an online issue quarterly in January, April, July, and October.

The word Gramercy is both a Manhattan neighborhood and the name of its small, fenced-in private 2-acre park, Gramercy Park. The word Gramercy means many thanks, as it is derived from the French term grand merci. It’s an expression of gratitude, which our editors feel every day in this work to make our small yet enduring contributions to contemporary literature.

Open year round for poetry and prose submissions. We accept submissions of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. For any special theme considerations, keep an eye on our Submittable forms.

A daily, lightning-hot stanza and self-study poetry workshop.

Share poet quotes: Poet quotes are hand-picked to resonate with the reading inspiration and creative writing mission of daily poetry in your life.
